Monopolies are Bad…Except When its the Government’s
Monopolies are hated because they mean exploitation and bad products at high prices. This is even more true when it is a government monopoly. The monopoly the government has on education means only the ultra-wealthy are able to send their children to private, well-run schools. In historically marginalized and oppressed communities, this means children will never have access to the same level of education that the children of the wealthy and powerful enjoy. Parents should have the option to send their child to whatever school they want. Colorado spends $11,500 per pupil, which is more than enough for a good, competitive private education. Make the government compete for your business and give your child the same opportunity for success.
